Market for FBA Businesses Late 2020 with Global Wired Advisors

Why should an “ordinary” Amazon business owner be interested in the capital markets of Wall Street or the City of London?

It’s all too easy for Amazon business owners to assume there is only one way to make money from their business – running it for profit.

The truth is that there is MUCH more opportunity out there now.

There has been a lively market in Amazon FBA businesses for several years now. Many Amazon sellers – including personal friends of mine – have sold businesses for high 6 or 7 figures; many other sellers we work with are gearing up for their own sale. However, recently that market has stepped up several gears at once.

The great news is that the market for FBA businesses is now a seller’s market. The COVID situation, horrible as is medically and economically,   has created a wonderful combination for ecommerce. On the one hand, consumers shopping from home has created exploding demand for ecommerce, leading to huge revenue growth for many Amazon sellers. On the other hand, ecommerce’s higher profile has lead those in the Capital markets to become very aware of ecommerce businesses as an asset class.

There is further good news: even at higher valuations,  FBA businesses still look great value to investors compared to many alternative business types. Wall Street veteran, Jason Somerville walks us through how things are shifting and explains the amazing opportunity Amazon business owners have in front of them right now.
