I HAVE QUESTIONS
Do I have to be at every mastermind meeting?
Relax, you can miss the odd meeting! While we'll miss you, it's normal that most of our members will have to miss some of our private label mastermind meetings. As long as you make a decent proportion, you'll still get the momentum, accountability and community you need.
What's the investment to belong to the private label mastermind?
The full standard price is £97 per month.
The Beta testing places at £49 have now all gone.
But, if you take one of the next 5 spaces, you will pay just £67 a month for as long as you remain a member. However, the first month will cost you just £49 so you can try us out for one month at minimal risk.
Is there a minimum membership period (like 6 months) for the private label mastermind?
The short answer is: no. You can cancel at any time. However, I'm looking for a relationship, not a one-night stand! You'll gain a huge amount more by getting to know the other mastermind members properly, gaining experience and confidence, and being kept accountable. All of that takes time.
My advice is to come in with the intention of being around for at least 3-6 months. 6-12 months will give you a lot more.
What qualifies you to know about private label on Amazon?
I've been round the block! I've been selling private label products on Amazon since December 2014, done well over $100,000 in sales (equivalent). I've helped mentoring clients since April 2016 and run a private label mastermind since September 2016. I've interviewed over 30 Amazon experts for the podcast, which has over 200 episodes and has been running since Sept. 2015.
I don't claim to be a power seller yet, let alone a "guru". You can learn from my mistakes - so you don't have to± But I'm well placed to help you get from nowhere to launched.
If I have an uncertain schedule, is there a way to work round this?
Well, on the one hand, yes, we use the robust scheduling technology to get the best dates for our members to maximise the number of meetings each member can make.
On the other hand, there is simply no way to schedule every meeting such that every single mastermind member can attend every single meeting!
If you really need something tailored to your personal schedule, you may need to explore the mentoring programme (Click to check it out).
Don't let this be too much of a barrier. One reason we offer a low price point is so you don't need to worry too much about missing the odd month. If you had a £50 a month gym subscription, you wouldn't probably worry too much about a couple of weeks there for your summer holidays, would you? You can cancel any time if you feel it's not going to work for you.
Can I get started with a couple of thousand pounds?
It's possible - in theory. I've met ONE person who did it. Out of hundreds of people I've met in the Amazon world over the last 3 years.
I don't think anyone has a high chance of success with less than several thousand. The lowest initial inventory capital I'll accept in a new private label mastermind member is £3000 for that reason.
This is an incredible opportunity - but it's a cash-intensive business model!
Can I replace my day job within 3-6 months with a private label business?
The short answer: it depends!
The realistic answer: probably not.
For most people, to have the necessary capital for inventory to not only start but continue to grow a private label business, you'll need to keep the day job, an existing business or managing property (to name the most typical income streams I meet among members). That means you're only going to have limited time to devote to your Amazon business.
By the time you've found decent product niches, sold some generic products, found your winning products and got samples, done your negotiation etc., it could well be several months from starting out to getting your first 1-3 private label products selling.
It can be done quicker if you simply risk more money and put more time into it. That's a combination of your capital, time and personal risk tolerance and family situation. We can help you assess that in your first private label mastermind meeting if you like.
How long (how many hours) are the private label mastermind meetings?
The physical private label mastermind meetings are organised such that each member attending gets at least 30 minutes of "hot seat" time. So for the moment, around 4 hours; maximum 6 hours.
The monthly accountability video call again is organised so that all members attending get about 5 minutes each, so between about 30-60 minutes in practice
What extra value does this offer compared to online research?
I love this question because it so clearly illustrates a number of things about developing a private label business. This is a really important question.
My simple answers: A private label mastermind should help you with four areas:
Time; Certainty; Motivation; Action
1. YOUR TIME.
Of course, since the invention of Google (and in more recent years, Facebook groups), in theory you can piece together all the knowledge you need to do anything.
The problem is- reinventing the wheel takes a lot of time.
Let's say you are researching Product Research methods. Let's say you manage to gather all the information you would get in a 30-minute hot seat at one private label mastermind meeting by taking a week of Google research.
Great. So you saved yourself £49. Let's say you multiply that over 4 different areas of business.
You just spent 4 weeks doing something that could have taken you 4 days (in fact, more like 20 hours - including travel time!).
If your future private label business is going to generate say $10,000 a month in profit in a few months, you've just incurred an opportunity cost of $10,000.
For the sake of saving £49.
If you don't value your time, you won't make serious money. Period.
Here's a simple one: how do you know, out of thousands of Facebook posts, which ones are from a solid source, and which aren't? The answer is that it's hard to know! And doing much research on that would take even more hours.
In a private label mastermind, you know who you are dealing with; because of non-disclosure and non-compete clauses, you can find out super quickly who to really follow.
Be honest - how long have you been "researching" the Amazon private label opportunity? After a couple of months without even buying a small amount of inventory, I'm afraid that "research" is cover for "fear/being lost". That's okay, honesty is useful - but why stay lost? Being with human beings is hardwired into us. We're group animals.
Get yourself a peer group of sellers in our private label mastermind and stay actually excited instead of being isolated behind your laptop.
This is the kicker. If you've been "researching" for over 3 months without buying something, that isn't going to change unless you change something. You need people to inspire you by showing you what's possible, and hold you accountable. If you've not done it till now, why will that change?
That's why a private label mastermind is SO much more powerful than mere private label google research or Facebook trawling.
(Besides which, be honest. Facebook is designed to be ultra-distracting. Are you really focussed on your private label business 100% when you are on there?)
And now for some more brutal honesty:
You'll be required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and a Non-Compete Agreement (NCA).
You'll be expected to share your results in physical meetings (once you've got to know and trust the other members)
If you have less than £3000 for inventory, we can't have you in the group - your chances of success are too low. Sorry!
You'll need to be willing to subscribe for £67 a month.
While you can cancel at any time, I'm not looking for a one-night stand. I want a relationship! We are building a great team of people - we want you to be part of it.
Ready to apply?
Here’s How It Works
First, you’ll need to enter your REAL email address below. Then you’ll be taken to an application where I ask you all sorts of invasive questions about your business. OK – they’re not that invasive. I’m just really trying to weed out the “tyre kickers” here.
What happens next - usually, on the basis of this written application, we can assess whether it's a good fit for you, the group and me. If so, you'll find out immediately. And if it's a good fit, you'll be taken straight to the page to subscribe.
If it's borderline, I may schedule a chat with with me personally via Skype or phone to see if we really are a good match.
Nobody will pressure you or hassle you. If you want in, great. If not, no problem. We’re cool either way.
I’m only looking for high-calibre people to join the Zero-to-Hero Mastermind.
